The Champions Project

The Champions Project is an online mini-grant contest presented by Delta Dental of Kansas and the Delta Dental of Kansas Foundation. The contest was held from March - April of 2011. Ten participating organizations were 'championed' by DDKS employees and worked with their DDKS teams to submit proposals for oral health initiatives, programs, equipment or supplies that met one or more of the Foundation grant criteria. The organizations were featured on the DDKS Foundation's website where visitors voted for their favorite organization. The four organizations that received the most votes received a $2,500 mini-grant to implement an oral health program or initiative or to purchase supplies or equipment. More than 58,000 votes were cast over six weeks and winners were announced at a press conference in May.

These are the organizations that participated
