In 2012, a total of 188,640 kits, valued at more than $100,000, were granted to 41 Kansas organizations.
The Delta Dental of Kansas Foundation has granted a total of $32,235 to three Wichita-area organizations: GraceMed Health Clinic, Health Ministries Clinic (Newton) and Junior Achievement.
The Delta Dental of Kansas Foundation has granted a total of $178,928 to three Topeka-area organizations: Kansas Dental Charitable Foundation, Oral Health Kansas and Dental Lifeline Network.
Recognizing the need to address oral health problems in Kansas, the Delta Dental of Kansas Foundation has granted a total of $19,345 to one Salina organization: Salina Area Technical College to purchase a new x-ray machine that will replace one that has been used to teach since the 1970’s.
The DDKS Foundation has granted a total of $20,000 to the Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas (Coffeyville) to purchase DEXIS radiograph software and sensors to provide dental x-rays for patients at the new six-chair operatory dental clinic located in Coffeyville.
The Delta Dental of Kansas Foundation has granted a total of $30,656 to two Manhattan-area organizations: Manhattan Area Technical College and Community Health Ministry (Wamego).
Recognizing the need to address oral health problems in Kansas, the Delta Dental of Kansas Foundation has granted a total of $37,250 to two Lawrence organizations: Douglas County Dental Clinic and Kansas Head Start Association.
The Delta Dental of Kansas Foundation has granted a total of $75,378 to four Kansas City-area organizations: the Atchison Community Health Clinic (Atchison), the Health Partnership Clinic (Overland Park), the Turner House Children’s Clinic and The Ellis Foundation (Fort Scott).
ix Kansas Organizations Win Oral Health Grants in $15,000 Contest
Delta Dental of Kansas and the Delta Dental of Kansas Foundation announced grant recipients in the second annual state-wide online mini-grant contest, The Champions Project.
Each year the Delta Dental of Kansas Foundation grants toothbrush kits to organizations across the state to support various oral health programs. A total of 114,248 kits valued at $61,694 were granted to 30 Kansas organizations.
